I was just down in Detroit for WWE Monday Night Raw (yes, I know...) and we ended up at Pappy's Bar and Grill in Greektown. My buddies and I started talking about burgers with the bartender, and according to their staff, it sure sounded like they had one good burger to try. However, then our burger review site was mentioned, and boy oh boy did their tone change. I've never heard an establishment say, "Don't review us" before.
We ended up over at Five Guys and to our surprise, they serve beer at the Greektown location! This was my second time at Five Guys, and I really think it was better the second time around. I left very pleased and I'm excited to go to a Five Guys again. As for Pappy's, it must be time to step it up a touch. However, they did have some pretty cool bartenders to talk to.

Lucas, eat your heart out. This is how it works. I recommend using Velveeta cheese. Yes, it's fake, but you will get the oozing quality needed for a successful burger. Place a small, yet satisfying pile of cheese in the center of a thin patty. Cover the base of meat and the pile of cheese with a patty of the same size. Don't forget to crimp the edges. Cooking them long enough is key. Make sure you have the right amount of heat to fully melt the cheese. I suggest 5-8 minutes on each side at 350 degrees. Finally, add the fixings of your choice and enjoy. You might want to make yourself two of them.
